Wilderness Medicine Courses

wfr-ucsb-2014-2580-croppedLake Geneva Canopy Tours is partnering with Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) to offer three wilderness medicine courses in May 2017.

WMA is a leader in wilderness medicine, and we are proud to host the following courses:

Wilderness Advanced First Aid: 4-day class, May 13-16, 2017

  • Entry level wilderness medicine course that prepares you to respond to a wide variety of medical situations while traveling or working in wilderness settings. This course can be used to recertify a current WFR.

WMA Bridge Course: 4-day class, May 17-20, 2017

  • The WMA Bridge course offers individuals with a WAFA certification the opportunity to obtain a Wilderness First Responder certification by attending this 4-day course instead of a full 8-day WFR course. The Bridge course can also be used to recertify a current WFR.

Wilderness First Responder: 8-day class, May 13-20, 2017

  • The standard for those leading wilderness education and recreation programs. The WFR course provides abundant hands-on practice time so students finish the course with extensive new knowledge and a high level of comfort with how to put their knowledge into practice.
