OPEN YEAR ROUND!
Your adventure begins with registration at our Welcome Center and a short preview video. A short drive onto property takes you to base camp where you’ll meet your guides and gear-up at our gear-up area. Then it’s off to Ground School where you’ll learn the basics of zip lining such as positioning, braking, parking brake and self-rescue. Next, it’s off to the course where you’ll traverse 8 exhilarating zip lines in the canopy of the forest, 5 tree-mendous SkyBridges, 3 spiral stairways, and a one of a kind “floating” double helix stairway which wraps around a beautiful Ash tree. During your tour you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the forest, a variety of wildlife, Lake Como, and the surrounding countryside. During your adventure our SkyGuides will share interesting information on the ecology, biology, geology and local history of the Geneva Lakes area. The Zip Line Adventure
Imagine for a moment that you’re standing on a platform high above the forest floor. The quiet is broken by the song of a warbler or the chatter of a squirrel. Your SkyGuide motions for you to step up to the launch platform. He reaches down and removes the trolley from your belt then slides it over the steel cable before you. He opens the carabiner and slips it onto the trolley. He transfers your safety line to the cable and tells you to “load your harness”. You sit down, your lanyard snaps taught, your full weight is supported by your harness and you feel secure. He holds your trolley firmly in place, his radio crackles and you hear a distant voice say, “the zip is clear.” Then he smiles and says “you’re good to go.” You gently lift your feet from the platform and you’re off. The air rushes past your face ever faster as you roll down the glistening cable, the canopy of the trees become a blur. Before you know it you reach the belly of the zip line, you start to slow down and gently glide into the next platform.
